Eileen West MD & Associates

Eileen West, MD, and Associates calls Fairfax, Virginia home and shares its foundation in the crossroads of conflict. Our practice believes the current healthcare system is at a crossroads and is failing both patients and providers alike. We have an intentionally small practice size that allows us to offer personalized primary care with greater focus on wellness and disease management, proactively. We understand that 8 minutes is simply not enough time with your doctor to address your current health let alone engage in meaningful conversation about your concerns and future goals. Dr. West is proud to offer personalized, proactive, comprehensive healthcare to her patients. Come experience the Ms.Medicine difference and let us help optimize your health to provide the vibrant life you deserve!

Testing Process

Step One:

Book an appointment.

We are thankful to be a part of your unique health journey! Take the first steps in assessing your cancer risk today and schedule with a Ms.Medicine provider now.

If you are already enrolled as a member within a Ms.Medicine practice, your membership includes your consultation with your physician and the charge listed is for the test itself.

If you are not a member at this time but are interested in the Galleri Testing, you are required to have a 45-minute pre-testing consult with the physician, to ensure the appropriateness of the test, as well as a post-testing consult to review results. If you are interested in becoming a member prior to testing, visit our website and enroll today.

If you have any issues with scheduling, please call our office at 571.999.9378.

Step Two:

Complete your blood draw.

Thinking about the possibility of cancer is overwhelming but taking the steps to find cancer early can help you feel more in control. Testing is fast and easy; no fasting or advanced preparation is needed. The blood draw can be completed in under 15 minutes.

Step 3: Receive your results and next steps.

  • Next steps:

Continue with all routine screening tests recommended for you. Missing routine cancer screenings or ignoring symptoms could lead to a delayed diagnosis of cancer.

  • Next steps:

The Galleri test does not diagnose cancer. Appropriate follow-up testing will be discussed to confirm if cancer is present.

  • FALSE POSITIVE RATE

This means that the Galleri test reported a “Cancer Signal Detected” result 1 in every 200 tests run in individuals who did NOT actually have cancer.

  • CANCER SIGNAL ORIGIN ACCURACY

This means when a cancer signal was detected in an individual who actually had cancer, the first Cancer Signal Origin was correctly predicted in 89 of 100 times.
